IRS2Go can be used to check on refunds, make payments, find free tax filing help, and get helpful tax tips.
Check your refund. You can check the status of your federal tax refund within 24 hours after the IRS receives your e-filed return. It takes about four weeks to check on a refund if you mailed a paper return.
Make a payment. The app gives you quick access to mobile-friendly payment options.
IRS Direct Pay is a secure way to pay from your bank account.
A debit or credit card payment lets you to make a payment through an IRS approved payment processor.
Find tax preparation help. If you're eligible, you can access free tax software from your mobile device using the Free File tool within the app. You can use this software to prepare and file your taxes and get your refund. If you received an extension of time to file your taxes, you can use the app to file through the October extended filing deadline.
