When I threw this short article together a few weeks ago, I wondered if the reason every single trending app related to importing data was because of the date. I peeked in on what I'd written today and took a look at the trending apps to see if the #1 spot had changed, and what a difference!

While the #1 trending app, Dext, is for syncing sales data with Quickbooks, the other trending apps include ones for budgeting and forecasting; human resources and benefits; project management and estimating.
I wrote this on January 25, just a few days before the January 31 deadline to give W-2's and 1099's to those who need them. If business owners (or their clients) hadn't kept their QuickBooks reconciled and updated for last year, they wouldn't be able to send those out in a timely, accurate way...and I guess I'm not the only person who doesn't exactly love Excel CSV files!
For example, if you have to manually enter bank statements into QuickBooks rather than having them pull from bank feeds for some reason, that's one option, unless you go for an app like one of the ones I found. Most of them have free trials, albeit limited, but aren't terribly expensive even outside of that, and are certainly worth it if you don't have the time necessary to play catch up. After all, you certainly don't want to face the far worse consequences of filing payroll (or any!) taxes late or incorrectly.

I've been checking out a lot of apps and reading reviews lately just out of curiosity, and I thought it would be fun to put this list of "trending" apps together specifically for QuickBooks. Right now, connectors that automate and sync between QuickBooks and multiple apps and programs seem to be what's in demand, and so is e-commerce.
These are the top 10 trending apps in the QuickBooks Apps store right now:
SaasAnt Transactions Importer and Deleter

SaasAnt Transactions lets you import, export, and delete XLS/XLSX/CSV file transactions in QuickBooks Online, and gives you control of the import process.
This "intuitive" bulk importer gives you a template to upload your files and uses field mapping, which lets you map the headers from your file to equivalent QuickBooks headers, then imports them into QuickBooks in usually less than 15 minutes.
There's a 30-day limited free trial with no credit card required, then pricing starts at $9.90 per month.
