Introducing Tags in QuickBooks Online
You can start tracking important information about your business with custom tags, now available for all new QuickBooks Online accounts.
This video goes over how to create tags and tag groups; how to add tags to money in and money out transactions; and how to run reports on tags to see how you make and spend money.
Tags can be found by going to “Banking” in your left navigation. If you don't see a tab for “Tags” you might need to turn the feature on in QuickBooks labs by clicking on the gear icon.
You can add tags to money in and money out transactions, like invoices, expenses, bills, and more, to help you understand where you make and spend money.
Tags are just labels that let you track different types of data without having to touch the Chart of Accounts, so they don't impact your books.
