What is The Climate Pledge?

How do products qualify to be Climate Pledge Friendly?

Carbonfree Certified determines the carbon footprint of the product, and associated carbon emissions are offset with reduction projects.
CarbonNeutral product by Natural Capital Partners measures emissions created in the product’s manufacture, makes internal reductions and offsets the remainder.

What is Compact by Design?
Compact by Design was announced at the same time as Climate Pledge Friendly as a way to identify product shaving a more efficient design even though they may not look different. Products requiring less packaging become more efficient to ship with the removal of excess air and water, and these small differences in product size and weight lead to significant carbon emission reductions at scale.

How are products certified Compact by Design?
Products must have a qualifying unit efficiency, be registered in the Amazon Brand Registry program, and be in one of their eligible categories to be certified. Existing attributes in Amazon's product catalog are used to determine qualification. Amazon verifies the seller-provided weight and dimensions of a product using representative samples from their fulfillment centers; a product must have at least one measurement conducted in their fulfillment center to qualify.
