The advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial unemployment claims was 268,000 the week ending November 13, which was a decrease of 1,000 from the prior week's revised level and the lowest level for initial claims since 256,000 on March 14, 2020. The prior week's level was revised up by 2,000 to 269,000.
The 4-week moving average of 272,750 was the lowest level since March 14, 2020 after decreasing 5,750 from the prior week.
The previous week's average was revised from 278,000 to 278,500.
